JEFFERSON, GA (October 11, 2012)- With less than three days to go,
Gresham Motorsports Park is gearing up for the last race of the 2012 race
season, the JEGS 50! Fans and
drivers have so much in store for them at the JEGS 50 on Saturday, October 13th
and this will be one race that no one will want to miss!
October 13th will be one of the largest races of the season for Trucks and Mini Stocks! Trucks will compete on the half-mile oval for 75 laps and Mini Stocks will race for 50-laps. Both divisions will receive more money for these races, which will make the race much more competitive than it has been all season! For a breakdown of the division purses, please visit GMP’s website.

Because these races will
determine the 2012 Point Champions, these will be some of the most exciting
races of the season! Division
Points Champions will be announced before the Pro Late Model race and the Pro
Late Model Points Champion will be announced after the Pro Late Model

When fans purchase tickets, or
show their pre-purchased tickets, at the ticket booths, they will be given an
entry slip. The entry slips can be
filled out and returned to the GMP souvenir stand or the concession stand for a
chance to win a 2013 trackside parking space (one entry per person, please and
winner must be at least 16 years old).
Those that entered on September 15th will have two chances to
win the parking space. The drawing
will take place during the truck race and the winner will be announced before
the start of the Pro Late Model race event.
Also, when fans arrive, programs
can be found at the ticket gates.
Inside the program is a survey for fans to complete. Once the survey is completed, fans can
return it to the souvenir stand and receive a prize from GMP!
GMP and the Jefferson Fire
Department is raffling off Georgia/ Georgia Tech game tickets! Tickets for the raffle will be $2 for 1
ticket and $5 for 3 tickets. A portion
of the proceeds will go to the Jefferson Fire Department.
Fans also have the opportunity
to win one of many great prizes including, t-shirts, certificates and even
$100! Mini Pumpkin basketballs
will be tossed out throughout the night- catch a pumpkin that has the winning
marks and return it to the grandstand concession stand to receive your prize!
GMP has so much going on this
Saturday at the JEGS 50 and we want everyone to be a part!
The trackside and grandstand
gates will open at 4pm and Opening Ceremonies will begin at 7pm.
