Cartersville, Ga.- Crate Racin' USA, the sanctioning body for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series, NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series, NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division, and Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series will introduce its new Generation IV engine sealing system for rebuilt or repaired CT602 or CT604 Chevrolet Performance Parts Circle Track engines used in competition in the series'. The new Generation IV seals should start making their way into the field of competition in the coming days.
The new Generation IV seal is a green seal with a laser-etched "Crate USA" and individual serial number that is assigned to the engine owner and authorized engine rebuilder. New to the Generation IV seal is also an etched QR code that can be scanned with a smart phone. The back of the seal is covered with a high temprature holographic seal that is embossed with "Crate USA" and the serial number as well.
The Generation IV seal offers a better, more secure locking system, and other modern technology that will keep Crate Racin' USA and their sanctioned racing series' on the cutting edge of racing technology. The embossed QR code allows technical inspectors, authorized rebuilders, or competitors with a smart phone and QR code scanner to scan the code on each engine rebuilt and sealed with the Generation IV seal. Once scanned, the phone will take you to the seal search database page, where a search window will allow the person to enter the 5 digit build certification number stamped in the right front or left rear of the engine block pad, and it will pull up the information for that engine.
The page will display who the authorized rebuilder was, who the engine was built for, date it was built, and what the proper location for each seal should be for that particular engine. In the event someone does not have a bar code scanner on their phone, they can simply use the following link to the website www.nesmithracing.com/sealsearch to retrieve that same information. Only engines with Generation IV seals installed will be able to be searched on the new database.
