The more I look at the entry list of who is coming to the Melon next weekend, the more excited I get. Lot's of next generation drivers with NASCAR pedigrees are on there and guess who is going to be on hand to sign autographs? That's right, their dads. How often do race fans in South Georgia have the opportunity to interact with some of their heroes like this? Not very dang often from what I have seen. Last year was the first time that the Watermelon Capital Speedway hosted Speedfest. It was a blast and all the fans got to see some exciting racing. You can expect the same or even better this year. I encourage you to go ahead and get your tickets because they are going fast. I know you don't want to be the one that somebody comes up to the next day and says "Boy, you should have been there last night!"
