This weekend will be the next stop for the NLMSS at Waycross Motor Speedway. Waycross has added some extra excitement for fans and drivers by bringing in numerous truck loads of dirt to add banking to turns three and fourand will reconfigure both. Turns one and two will be totally different from turns three and four making the racing more exciting for everyone. Waycross is always in the habit of thinking of new ways to make the racing better and always looking for more ways to make their drivers happy.
The last race NLMSS winner at Waycross was Brandon Dewitt, from Barney, Georgia who is looking forward to repeating this win. The video of that race can be seen here. It truly was full of action from start to finish and with the track being reconfigured it is looking to be even better this weekend. Series regulars Jay Johnson, Johnny Collins, Dewayne Johnson, Russell Brown Jr., and Evan Becton are expected to be there along with a full field of the south's best late model drivers. Competition is pretty fierce in this division and fans are never let down.
Along with the NLMSS race, Waycross will be running all of their regular Saturday night racing divisions. Superstreets, Pure Stocks, and Limiteds will all be making an appearance and from my last trip to Waycross they definitely get the fans on their feet and pretty passionate about their favorite drivers. This weekend will also be the birthday of someone turning the BIG 4-0. Yep, I said 40! Happy birthday to a truly great track promoter, Chad Starling. If you see him around the track this weekend give him some good ribbing about his birthday and don't forget to tell him "happy birthday"!
