The Southern Thunder Late Model Series (STLMS) rolls into town Saturday May 27th for their first stop in a double header weekend at East Alabama Motor Speedway! They will go head to head for 40 laps to see who walks away with the $2000 to win prize!

Also in action will be 5 other racing divisions!

602 Late Model Sportsman - $700 to win

Hobby Stock - $600 to win

NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division - $500 to win

Road Warrior - $500 to win

Hot Shots - $500 to win

EAMS Late Model (25 Laps):
1 - #1D Dalton D Cook - came from behind to take the lead and easily outdistance the field - picks up his 2nd win of the season.
2 - #110 Rick Culpepper - started 5th, got to the lead early but lost the battle to Cook a few laps in.
3 - #5 Thomas Lewis - 4th top 3 of the season.
4 - #K9 Dana Eiland - started outside pole - maintains 36 point lead over Culpepper.
5 - #54 Tim Dixon - 3rd 5th place finish in a row.

Brandon Pijnenburg

602 LM Sportsman (15 Laps):
1 - #83 Brandon Pijnenburg - shows up and shows out - wins in his 1st points race at EAMS this season.
2 - #8G Bubba Gorman - 6th top 3 finish - expands his points lead
3 - #14 Dustin Ducker - best finish of the season - looked really good tonight - starting to get the hang of this.
4 - #94 Trenton Pijnenburg - good job in his first race in a Late Model at EAMS.
5 - #21 John Holdinghausen - 1st outing this season - not bad for a shake down run with his new car.

Winger Wins Again At Senoia, This Time In Super Late Models

(Senoia, GA – May 14, 2017)   Senoia’s sixteen-year-old sensation, Ashton Winger, continues to win where ever he races these days.  Winger has dominated in the Crate Late Model division at Senoia Raceway this season, but won at Rome Speedway last weekend before dropping a 358 Chevy into this #12 ride and then winning the Super Late Model main at Senoia on Saturday night.  It was the first career Super Late Model victory for the young gun.

Other winners on Mother’s Day Eve were Locust Grove’s Jason Williams in the Limited Late Model, Sharpsburg’s Dennis Lykins, Jr. in the Crate Late Models and Bobby Arnold of Newnan in the Late Model Sportsman.  Villa Rica’s Joe Hillman was victorious in the Hobby Stock while Hampton’s Mark Newton topped the Mini Stocks, Whitesburg’s Derick Matthews won the Bombers and Morgan Pittman of Grantville was first in the Hot Shots main event.

Blant Duke Takes Home May Day Special At Senoia Raceway

(Senoia, GA – May 7, 2017)   The ‘Whitesburg Warrior’ Blant Duke wrestled away the lead from pole sitter Richard Goode on the second lap of the May Day Special for the Late Model Sportsman division at Senoia Raceway on Saturday night and then kept everybody behind him the remainder of the way.  The veteran competitor notched his eighteenth career victory at the Bull Ring in the division while pocketing the top pay of $1000.

EAMS Late Model
1 - #110 Slick Rick Culpepper - took the pole with a 15.96 and lead flag to flag, pretty much unchallenged - picks up his 3rd win of the year.
2 - #5 Thomas Lewis - best finish of the season after 2 3rd place finishes earlier - race long battle with #K9 Dana Eiland for 2nd.
3 - #K9 Dana Eiland - 6th top 5 in 8 races - leads points by 35.
4 - #19 Josh Cox - best performance yet after moving up to Late Model.
5 - #54 Tim Dixon - 3rd straight top 5 - contended with Cox for 4th.

EAMS Late Model (25 Laps):
1 - #1D Dalton D Cook - qualified on the pole and led every lap in dominating fashion to pick up his first ever win anywhere - CONGRATULATIONS!!
2 - #27 Larry Harrod - great run in his first appearance this season in a points race at EAMS - had to defend his position from constant challenges from #110 Rick Culpepper.
3 - #110 Rick Culpepper - worked all 25 laps to try to get 2nd from Harrod, running alongside him off the corner on several occasions. Moves up to 2nd in points
4 - #K9 Dana Eiland (Mike Harris) - an off night for the "Master of Going Faster".
5 - #54 Tim Dixon - is running more competitively than ever, challenging Eiland all race long.
