October 13th- The C&L
Performance Auto Super Street Feature staged 15 cars for a 20 lap shoot
out. Brian Wooten led the first half of
the feature but spun on lap 8 and had to restart on the rear. After 9 laps of green flag racing Wooten
worked his way back to the top but fell short of the win as Chris Keller Sr
took the checkered flag followed by Wooten and Scott Crews.
The Wooten Transmission Hobby
Stock Feature took the track with 17 cars.
After several tries at completing the first lap the class settled down
with Brian Wooten jumping out in the lead.
Wooten was able to wheel his hobby stock safely through the lapped
traffic to take the checkered flag followed closely by Brian Grantham and
Windall Clark who overtook John Carlino on the last lap.
The Audio Designs & Custom
Graphics E-Mod class only had 6 cars this week but once again they did not fail
to satisfy with heated racing action. At
the half way mark in their 20 lap feature Kyle Arvin, Jimmy Peele and Donny
Hall were side by side by side out of four.
After some intense action for the 3-5 spots and one car ending up in the
front straight wall, Jimmy Peele took the checkered flag followed by Arvin,
Hall and Phillip Albritton. Hall was
disqualified for an illegal carburetor giving Albritton the 3rd
spot.
The Safety 1st Driver
Education Limited Sportsman Feature took the green flag with only 6 cars as
most of the regulars were at Oglethorpe Speedway. Scott Waters checked out on the field and
took the win followed by Ricky King and Bruce Collins Jr.
The D&D Dirtin Powder Puff
ladies took the track and after 10 laps of pedal to the metal action Tami Clark
took the win, her 4th win in a row, followed by Taylor Clark, Tami’s twin, and Makayla
Tyrell.
Our next race will be the Boots
Sears Memorial Race. Boots was a local
racer who made sure ANYONE who wanted to race was able to race. His tradition
is carried on today by Big Splash Racing.
