Langdale Ford Big Finish 50

On December 28th Needmore Speedway will open it's gates for the first day of a weekend of racing called the Langdale Ford Big Finish 50. The previous race Needmore held was back in November called the Earlybird 75 and it was extremely successful. Lots of cars and lots of fans made for an exciting weekend. In the late model division Adam Giles blistered the track during qualifying and broke the previous track record leaving fans to hope someone can repeat this feat at the Big Finish. We also saw Brandon Overton from Appleton, Ga. lead most of the race in a crate late model but eventually lose out to Needmore regular Stacey Roberts. There were drivers from 6 different states in attendance for the race.

Friday, December 28th, gates will open at 3pm to let in the throngs of cars and fans into the pits and grandstands with practice starting at 5pm. Practice is always important to drivers letting them get a handle on the track and knowing what setup to run. On Saturday Needmore will run a little differently from the last race by splitting up the feature over the two days of Saturday and Sunday. Gates will open at 12 pm, hot laps at 2 pm and racing at 3pm. The feature for late models on Saturday will be 25 laps and a $2500 payout to the winner. Late models will qualify but will not be running heats. If 25 cars or more show up they will run a B main. In limiteds on Saturday they will run a 20 lap feature with $1000 going to the winner. They will also qualify but not run heat races.
Superstreet has a 20 lap feature with $600 for winning. Hobby division will run heat races and their feature will be 20 laps with the winner getting $400 to win. Enduro will run a 15 lap feature paying $250 to win. Mini stocks are a 15 lap feature with $200 to win. Sunday will be the next day of features and comes with extra perks for some of the divisions if a driver can win the points for both days. In late model if you win the points you collect an extra $1000 and in limiteds you can win an extra $500 for winning the points for both days. Gates will open at 12 pm. Just like the last event, the track will have a church service at 1pm. At 2pm hot laps will start and at 3pm they'll start the features for a second day. Late models will run 25 laps with a $3500 payout to the winner which, if you can win both days, will give you a complete payout of $6000 and the points money of $1000 for a total of $7000!
In limited division, their feature will run a 20 lap feature that pays $1200 to win and not to forget an extra $500 to the points winner at the end of the weekend. Superstreet has a 20 lap feature with $700 to win. Hobby will run 20 laps for $500 to win and enduro will run a 15 lap feature paying $300. Mini stock will have a 15 lap feature with $250 to win.
