Deep Dixie Racing: Input Needed
Carolyn and Leo Johnson, along with myself, are the ones who came up with the idea to start Deep Dixie Racing. All three of us love stock car racing and wanted to do what we could to help recognize the people involved in the sport and at the same time, promote it to those who are not. We hope that what you see now on our site is just the beginning of something which will grow and help make others aware of the exciting, family-friendly sport that stock car racing has become.
Please recognize that Deep Dixie Racing is a work in progress and it should grow and get better as we iron out the kinks. Our goal is to make it the first place that racing fans want to go to when they need their stock car news "fix", so to speak. In order to get to that point, we will need your help in providing feedback as to what you like and what you would like to see added to the site. We are asking that you give our site a look over and then send us any suggestions that you may have to deepdixieracing@gmail.com so that we might make improvements as needed.
Things that we desperately would like input on are the racing links you guys like to go to, the news feeds you would like to see included, and your thoughts on spotlighting drivers and fans each week. Would you like to hear a weekly, online talk show that would spotlight each of the tracks and their activities? If there is anything that you think a lot of people would be interested in and we are not providing, by all means, let us know what it is by sending an email to the above address.
One of the things that we are excited about is our driver profiles. We are developing driver profiles for any driver that would like to participate. The basic profile pages are being set up on Google+. You can learn more about these pages by clicking here. If you are a driver and you haven't already given us some basic information, please do so and we will work to get your profile up. You can click here to see Stevie Blanchette's profile, as an example. Once we have the profile up, we will give each driver, or someone he/she designates, the opportunity to keep the profile updated. Once again, to provide information, please send it to deepdixieracing@gmail.com. Managing Google+ pages will require signing up for an account if you don't already have one. Don't you think that using the "hangouts" will be a pretty neat tool for the drivers to interact with the fans?
We are also creating advanced profiles too. As an example, you can view Ronnie Newsome's advanced profile by clicking here. Because these take a whole lot more time to create, there will be a nominal fee of $25. To be honest, I don't know all the bells and whistles that can be placed in those. Carolyn Johnson will be handling the advanced profiles and you can email her at carolynforvols@yahoo.com if you are interested.
